Vegan Devil's Chocolate Cake from HEAVEN with Cookie Dough

Warning:This cake will turn any non-vegan vegan in 5.2 seconds.

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/8 cup EatPastry cookie dough, room temperature- whatever flavor you want
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 generous tablespoon vanilla extract

Frosting:

  • 16oz bag powdered sugar
  • 2 cups softened earth balance spread (it's vegan)
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup vegan sour cream
  • 1/4 cup vegan cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/8 almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch fine sea salt
  • 2 cups melted dark chocolate

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F.

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Add the milk, cookie dough and boiling water and begin to mix at medium speed. While mixing add the applesauce, veggie oil, and vanilla.

Once combined pour contents into 2 9x9 baking dishes (greased and lined with parchment paper). Bake for about 40 min until toothpick stuck in center comes out clean. Let fully cool before flipping out of pan.

While cooling make the frosting by putting all ingredients together and mixing and mixing and mixing until it's all creamy. OMG it's so good guuuuys.

Decorate however the hell you want!
